If so, then the Empowerment Retreat at Wonderland Camp is perfect for you. This retreat led by director of Health and Wellness, Jan Stapleton, RN, BSN, Certified Life Coach, will provide you with knowledge, tools, and techniques to help you overcome what is getting in your way of being the best version of yourself. The staff will work closely with you to create joy, abundance and of course, empowerment in your life. You will also be able to experience plenty of rest and rejuvenation so that when you leave on Sunday, you will feel energized and ready to tackle whatever comes at you.
Immerse yourself into the Deaf world by vowing a weekend of silence. Participants will learn tools for better nonverbal communication skills and expand on their education of American Sign Language and Deaf Culture while enjoying the fun atmosphere and activities that Wonderland Camp has to offer including our 40-foot rock climbing wall and challenge elements, archery, crafts, and nature trails to name a few. All people 18 years of age and older, learning or who have an interest in ASL and members of the Deaf Community are welcome to attend. Check in begins at 5:00 pm on Friday and check out on Sunday at 11:00 am. Wonderland Camp has 12 cabins that sleep 16 people per cabin in bunk beds and have private showers and toilets. All meals included, cabins are heated and bed linen is supplied. Participants will choose between co-ed, male and female cabins. This is the only Mid-Missouri Silent Weekend and will be directed by Andy Brendell, Wonderland Camp Director and William Woods University Alumni of ASL Studies.
Take a journey deep into the world of Wonderland Camp for a weekend full of fantastical, marvelous, and maybe a little malevolent themed activities and events. Join the scheduled activities or trail off to the game areas and partake in games hosted by our local friends such as Dungeons & Dragons, Magic! The Gathering, and more. We invite you to embrace your favorite family-friendly fandom with your own costumes or select from our very own costume room! All ages are welcome with minors accompanied by an adult. Summer Camp is reserved for individuals with disabilities. Campers arrive on Sunday after 2pm and check-out on Friday at 10am. Weekly camp fee is $950. A $300 minimum deposit is required to register and $50 is non-refundable.

Families can camp together. $225 for camper plus one adult. $50 for each additional family member. $100 deposit is required ($50 non-refundable) and must be paid in full by Sept. 15, 2022.
The following camp events are for all abilities and not limited to only those with disabilities.
This fabulous weekend is for moms who have a child, of any age, with a disability or chronic condition. It is a chance to relax, be pampered, and have fun and connect with other moms who understand your life. The cost is $175 and includes all meals, snacks, craft projects, activities, entertainment, and accommodations in our heated/air conditioned cabins. Each cabin has private showers and bathrooms. We will limit the number of moms per cabin to eight. Check in begins at 2 pm on Friday, October 8th and check out is at 11 am on Sunday, October 10th. Come alone or with some friends. This weekend is designed for mothers or mother figures/female role models to spend time with their daughters ages 6-14 with or without disabilities. Check in begins at 5pm on Friday, December 3rd and includes meals, snacks, activities including use of the rock wall and challenge elements, BB guns, archery, craft projects and other games, weather permitting. Participants stay in our air conditioned/heated cabins with private showers and toilets. Each cabin can hold up to 16 people. Check out will be at 11:00 am on Sunday. Cost for this weekend is $250 for one female adult and one daughter, $50 charge for any additional daughters/grandmothers/female adult.
New Year’s Eve Overnight is New for 2022! This overnight lock in-adventure is designed for kids ages 6-14. Kids will spend the night in Miller Hall and need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow. Check in begins at 4-5 pm on Friday, December 31st and check out is at 10 am on Saturday, January 1st. The cost is $100 per child and includes dinner, snacks, activities, and party favors. Children must be independent with eating, grooming and toiletry. The ratio will be 8-10 campers per counselor.
